The ghouls are out for Halloween! Look at these cute and scary Halloween Ghouls peeking out of this purple candied popcorn! The kids (and grown-ups) will love this snack mix. Such a fun addition to your Halloween party table. The Ghouls are easy to make because they’re made of Flipz White Fudge Covered Pretzels and Wilton Candy Eyeballs. They can be found in most grocery stores or on Amazon.com. The popcorn and be any color and flavor you choose. The candy coating is made using Jello!

To stick the candy eyes onto the fudge covered pretzels, just melt 1 small (ice cube sized) cube of white almond bark in the microwave. Place the cube of almond bark into a small bowl and microwave on high about 40 seconds. Stir. Microwave again in 15 second increments until smooth. (Careful not to over do it or the bark will seize up!)

Using a toothpick, wooden skewer or a chopstick, place a small dab of the melted almond bark onto the back of the candy eyeball. Place 2 eyes onto each pretzel as shown in to picture below. They will set up quickly. Set aside until the popcorn is done and cooled.

Before you start making the purple Jello syrup for the candied popcorn, cover a baking sheet with foil and spray the foil with non-stick spray. Set aside.

You’ll need 8 cups of popped popcorn (I made 1/4 cup of popcorn kernals in my air popper and it was the perfect amount.) Remove any unpopped kernals and place popped popcorn into a large bowl so that it’s ready to pour the sticky purple syrup over the top (you’ll need to work quickly when it’s ready)

Here’s what you’ll need for the candied popcorn:

8 cups popped popcorn

1/4 c. butter

1/4 c. light corn syrup

1/2 cup granulated sugar

1 small box Jello, dry

Plus a few drops of added food color to make popcorn more vibrant!

Melt the butter and corn syrup together over low heat. Add the sugar and dry Jello (and food coloring if desired.) Stir. Turn up the heat and bring the mixture to a boil, stirring constantly. Reduce heat and simmer for 4 minutes (on lowest heat setting & make sure it’s bubbling slightly.) Pour over the popcorn and stir to coat. It’s really hot!

Pour onto the sprayed, foil covered baking sheet and bake about 9-10 minutes at 300°. Cool on pan.

To serve, break the candied popcorn into pieces and toss with the fudgy pretzel GHOULS!
